DiskWright helps you inspect large files, understand their filesystem-reported size, and review cleanup before anything moves to Trash.
Creating QR codes is usually the easy part of a campaign. Keeping track of the artwork, PDFs, screenshots and exports around it can be harder.
If you work on a Mac, those files can accumulate across Downloads, project folders and old archives. When storage runs low, the question is simple: what is taking up space, and what can I safely remove?
That is why we built DiskWright, a native Mac storage utility that helps you inspect your files before deciding what to clean up.

Start with the biggest files
DiskWright scans a folder or mounted drive and lets you explore the results, inspect individual items and follow the largest folders down to the files inside them.
Start with ranked items or choose from eight views, including a treemap, sunburst and age map. Reveal an item in Finder or preview it with Quick Look before making a decision.
For someone preparing printed QR-code signs, menus or campaign materials, that might mean finding old PDF exports or duplicate artwork. For a developer, it might mean investigating growing build folders. DiskWright gives you context; you decide what still matters.
Understand what the size numbers mean
A file’s logical size and its reported size on disk can differ. DiskWright shows these measurements separately where macOS provides them.
That distinction matters, but it is not a promise of recoverable space. Compression, sparse files, shared storage and snapshots can affect what happens when a file is removed. Unreadable or excluded paths are reported so you know when a scan is incomplete.
Review before anything moves
Cleanup begins with a review queue. You choose items, inspect their paths and explicitly confirm moving them to Trash. Protected locations are excluded, and DiskWright does not empty your Trash automatically.
Moving files to Trash usually does not free the space immediately. Keep backups and take extra care with synced folders, where removing a file can affect other devices too.
Your scan stays on your Mac
Scanning, hashing and duplicate detection happen locally. DiskWright does not upload your scanned files or file paths as part of the scan.
License activation uses an online service, with up to 14 days of offline use between successful renewals. Website analytics and email updates are optional and separate from the Mac app.
